Mr. Whitt, a seasoned educational leader, brings over two decades of expertise and a deep commitment to fostering an enriching learning environment for all students.
Mr. Whitt earned accolades such as NC Gifted Teacher of the Year in 2015 and National Principal of the Year in 2018. He is recognized for his innovative educational practices and ability to enhance student performance. His career in education spans several notable positions, including serving as an Asst. Principal and Principal at the elementary, middle and high school settings. At these levels, he was responsible for all administrative responsibilities and developed a strong educational and teacher/student leadership culture within the school.
Mr. Whitt's diverse background in teaching and administration is a valuable asset for Cedar Creek Middle School. His extensive experience in staff and student leadership oversight, curriculum development, and community involvement are poised to bring significant insights and developments to the school's programs, further enriching the academic and extracurricular offerings.
Mr. Whitt received his administrative degree from High Point University and has served as an Asst. Principal and Principal in Wilmington, NC. He, along with his wife, Lisa and their boys, are now residing in Franklinton to be closer to family and looking forward to being part of the community and supporting Franklin County Schools!
Mr. Whitt expressed his enthusiasm about his new role, stating, "I am honored to join Cedar Creek Middle School and excited to work collaboratively with the staff, students, and the community to build on the school's achievements and foster a nurturing, inclusive, and high-achieving environment."
Mr. Whitt, his wife, Lisa and their boys are thrilled to be part of the Franklinton/Youngsville community! They are huge Duke and Steelers fans!

Mrs. Davis is a native of Franklin County, graduating from Bunn High School. She graduated from North Carolina A&T State University with a Bachelors in Elementary Education and then later received her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. Mrs. Davis enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children and their dog, Ginger.
