Ms. Alston has been teaching 7th grade math at CCMS for 8 years. Prior to teaching, she was an Instructional Assistant, Bus Driver, and In School Suspension Coordinator, all in FCS. Ms. Alston became a 7th grade math teacher at CCMS in August 2017. She is a graduate of Louisburg College and North Carolina Central University! Ms. Alston enjoys teaching and working with kids as they learn! Outside of teaching , Ms. Alston enjoys playing Softball and Line Dancing!

Deborah is the mother of 3, two lovely daughters (Kimberly and Ashley)and a loving son(Quincy) ,Two grand children Alaina Rose (9yrs) and(Cadence Cashmir) 6yrs old .She loves God, Family and her fellowman .Singing and traveling are her favorite hobbies. 40 yrs of service with FCS before retiring in 2020. She returned to substitute teach in 2021. Nuturing young minds is her passion and calling.

Mrs. Ali has been working in education since 2010. She started off teaching secondary students internationally in Egypt, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates for 4 years. She then switched to early years education while living in Abu Dhabi, starting with teaching in pre-K, then shifting into administration and training. She is now back to secondary and focusing on Social Studies at Cedar Creek Middle School. Outside of work, Mrs. Ali loves the outdoors, traveling, cooking, the beach and spending time with her family.

Mr. Layne is going into his fourth year teaching Math at CCMS. Mr. Layne is the Head Coach for the Girl's Basketball team. Making the Final Four the last 3 seasons and finishing as the Runner-Up in 22-23.

Hope Schuler is a graduate from UNC Chapel Hill with a background in literary and film studies. Her expertise lies within literary analysis. She is very much looking forward to a great school year!
Austin Tolbert

Mr. Tolbert attended Emory & Henry University amongst the Appalachian Mountains of South-Western Virginia, where he is originally from. He continued his education at Wake Forest University, earning his Masters in Divinity. In addition to teaching Social Studies, Mr. Tolbert coaches Track & Field for the Jaguars.
When away from The Creek, Mr. Tolbert enjoys spending time with his wife and their dog, Belle, as well as activities such as running, biking, reading, watching football, and playing video games.
